Even so, I was stunned when I read the\u00a0<em>Becoming Minimalist<\/em>\u00a0blog &#8220;21 Surprising Statistics About How Much We Actually Own.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>According to the blog,\u00a0<strong>the average American has 300,000 items in their home.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That means, if you were downsizing and made\u00a01 decision per second, it would take you 16\u00a05-hour days to go through it all.\u00a0 If you needed\u00a03 seconds to make a decision, you it would take you\u00a050 5-hour days to downsize.<\/p>\n<p>No wonder it seems so much easier just to move stuff to a storage space!
